Employees of Wintrust Bank, 4343 N. Elston Ave., reported that the bank was robbed at about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, according to the Chicago Police Department and the Chicago FBI office.
Employees reported that a man entered the bank, handed a teller a note demanding money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police. A weapon was not displayed or implied during the robbery, police said.
The man was described as black, age 30 to 40 and 6-0 to 6-2, with yellow and black stains on his teeth and wearing a black baseball cap, blue jeans and a blue shirt.
