Local Crime from 17th District 1-9-2016




A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 6100 block of North Drake Avenue was burglarized between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the front door was open and that six watches valued at $6,000 and jewelry valued at $10,000 were missing, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 3700 block of North Richmond Street was burglarized between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that jewelry, a silver plate set valued at $1,500, a laptop computer valued at $500, two iPads valued at $1,100, an Xbox video game console valued at $300 and $400 in cash were missing, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 3800 block of West Cullom Avenue was burglarized between 7:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the front door was open and that a laptop computer valued at $900 and video games and a Nintendo Wii video game console valued at $300 were missing, according to police.

LINCOLNWOOD

A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 7100 block of North East Prairie Road was burglarized at about 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that when he returned home he heard noises and voices yelling inside the home followed by footsteps outside, and that he discovered that the front door had been broken in and that jewelry valued at $2,000 and silver coins valued at $225 were missing, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that her car was burglarized between 3:45 p.m. and 6:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, in the parking lot of the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., according to Lincolnwood police.
The woman reported that she discovered that a car window was broken and that a bag containing medical supplies valued at $200 was missing, according to police.

A WOMAN was charged with possession of cannabis following her arrest at about 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, in the 4600 block of West Devon Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
An officer stopped a vehicle that was speeding, and the driver was arrested after the officer smelled the odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle and discovered a plastic bag containing 11.52 grams of cannabis, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Emma M. Kosyla, age 20, of the 2300 block of South Trumbull Avenue.
