Local Crime from 17th District 1-16-2016




A WOMAN reported that she was attacked at about 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, in the 4100 block of North Keeler Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 19-year-old woman reported that as she was waiting for a bus, a man and two women approached her and the man punched her in the face, one woman pushed her to the ground and the other woman kicked her in the stomach, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 3800 block of West Cullom Avenue was burglarized between 7:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the front door was open and that a laptop computer valued at $900 and a Nintendo video game console valued at $300 were missing, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5000 block of North Springfield Avenue was burglarized between 11:45 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that $4,000 was missing, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4000 block of West Keystone Avenue was burglarized between 4:50 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that $500 was missing, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5100 block of North Springfield Avenue was burglarized between noon and 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the front door had been forced open and that a mink shawl valued at $1,200 was missing, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5100 block of North Springfield Avenue was burglarized between 7:15 a.m. and 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that a Tiffany ring was missing, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that her home in the 3800 block of North Christiana Avenue was burglarized between 6 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the front door was unlocked and that $85 was missing, according to police.

LINCOLNWOOD

A MAN REPORTED that his car was stolen between 2:35 p.m. and 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, from the parking lot of the Shell gas station, 7200 N. Cicero Ave., according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that he left the ignition running in his 2004 Jaguar XJ8 while he entered the station’s store and that when he returned his car was being driven westbound on Touhy Avenue, according to police.

AN EMPLOYEE reported that a man fraudulently purchased items from the Kay Jewelers store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., at about 3:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, according to Lincolnwood police.
The employee reported that a man purchased a yellow diamond bracelet, a pair of white gold diamond solitaire earring, two white gold diamond necklaces, a diamond bracelet and a Citizen Ecodrive watch valued at a total of $9,559 with a credit card that had been opened fraudulently at an unknown Kay Jewelers location on Dec. 30, according to police.
