Local Crime from 16th District 2-3-2016




A MAN WAS shot at about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, in the 3900 block of North Lavergne Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 32-year-old man reported that a man in a car asked him if he is in a gang and then shot him twice in the upper arm, according to police. The man was treated at Community First Hospital, police said.

A WOMAN reported that she was robbed at about 8:05 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in the 3700 block of North Neva Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 23-year-old woman reported that a man pushed her to the ground and took her purse containing her passport, her social security card and her wallet containing $100, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 1:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in the 3600 block of North Sayre Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 76-year-old man reported that a man got out of a car, punched him on the head, knocked him to the ground and took his wallet containing $160 and two credit cards, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 4 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in the 4800 block of West Roscoe Street, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 60-year-old man reported that two men and a woman got out of a car and one of the men displayed a handgun and the other man took his cell phone valued at $380 and $380 in cash, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that she was robbed at about 5:55 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in the 5200 block of North Moody Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 49-year-old woman reported that after she entered her vehicle, a man got out of a car, displayed a handgun and took her purse from the passenger seat, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that she was robbed at about 5:50 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in the 5500 block of West Roscoe Street, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 42-year-old woman reported that a man knocked her to the ground and took her purse containing social security cards and $15 in cash, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 4:25 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in the 5000 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 22-year-old man reported that two men approached him and one of them displayed a handgun and took his debit cards and his cell phone, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that she was robbed at about 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, in the 7400 block of West Cornelia Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 19-year-old woman reported that a man took her backpack containing a laptop computer valued at $2,000, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that two men broke into her home in the 3600 block of North Olcott Avenue at about 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 78-year-old woman reported that she saw two men on her porch and that when she opened the door one of the men forced her inside and held her in the kitchen, according to police. The woman said that the other man entered her bedroom and that she later discovered that $360 in cash was missing, police said.
