Local Crime from 16th District 2-10-2016




AN EMPLOYEE reported that the BP gas station, 5200 W. Addison St., was robbed at gunpoint at about 1:20 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 24-year-old man reported that two men wearing black ski masks entered the station and one of them displayed a handgun and led him to the back room while the other man took $200 from the cash register, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, in the 8400 block of West Gregory Street, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 27-year-old man reported that he met a man to purchase Adderall pills and that the man entered the passenger seat while a second man entered the back seat and pointed a gun at him, struck him with the gun and took $350, his cell phone and his car keys, according to police.

EMPLOYEES reported that the BMO Harris Bank, 5960 W. Irving Park Road, was robbed at about 11:40 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
Employees reported that a man gave a teller a note demanding money and fled with $9,000 to $10,000 in cash, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 6:25 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, in the 6100 block of West Eddy Street, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 18-year-old man reported that as he was attempting to purchase marijuana, two men knocked him to the ground, pointed a gun at him and struck him in the ear with the gun, and that the two took his cell phone, his car keys and $200 from him, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that two men broke into his home in the 7400 block of West Devon Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 89-year-old man reported that two men came to the door who said they were with the city water department and that they needed to check the pipes in the basement, according to police. The man said that the men pushed their way into the home, split up and left minutes later and that he discovered that $200 in cash and income tax documents were missing, police said.

A WOMAN reported that a man exposed himself at about 8:05 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, in the 5700 block of North Natoma Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 42-year-old woman reported that as she was sitting in her car waiting to go to a meeting at Taft High School, a man walked in front of her car with his penis exposed and attempted to get into the school, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that a man attacked her at about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, in the 4800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 42-year-old woman reported that as she was waiting to cross the street a man broke a branch off a tree, shouted profanities at her and attempted to strike her, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, in the 6200 block of West Melrose Street, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 89-year-old man reported that a man got out of a car, demanded money and took $100 from him, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 6100 block of West Higgins Avenue was burglarized between Jan. 31 and Feb. 7, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that three bicycles valued at $900, a vacuum cleaner valued at $70 and a hammer drill valued at $200 were missing, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that her home in the 7200 block of West Pratt Avenue was burglarized between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the back door had been forced open and that gift cards valued at $500, a bracelet valued at $1,000, a digital video disc player valued at $300, a television set valued at $1,500 and $500 in cash were missing, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5000 block of West Byron Street was burglarized between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the rear door was open and that a laptop computer, four bracelets and $2,700 in cash were missing, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4200 block of North Parkside Avenue was burglarized at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the glass door on the back patio was broken and that 40 pieces of jewelry and $1,160 in cash were missing, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that his car was burglarized between 12:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, while it was parked in the 3200 block of North Oconto Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned to the car he discovered that the passenger-side window was broken and that a laptop computer valued at $1,500, a global positioning system device valued at $200, a radar detector valued at $400, scuba diving equipment valued at $1,500 and a camera valued at $500 were missing, according to police.
