Local Crime from 17th District 7-23-2016





TWO MEN reported that a man fired a gun at them at about 1 a.m. Saturday, July 16, in an alley in the 3400 block of North Lowell Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The men reported that as they were working in the garage they saw a vehicle slowly drive by and that when they left the garage to write down the license plate number, a man fired three shots in their direction, according to police.

TWO MEN reported that they were chased in an apparent gang-related incident at about 1:35 p.m. Saturday, July 16, in the 3700 block of West Agatite Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 23-year-old men reported that two men asked their gang affiliation and that when they ran away, the men chased them into a building, according to police. The men said that more men came to the building and shouted for them to come outside and that one of them had a gun, police said.

A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, July 17, in the 4700 block of West Roscoe Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 22-year-old man reported that a man struck him on the head with a hammer and took his backpack containing two Xbox video games, speakers, four bottles of Gatorade and a passport, according to police. The man was treated at Community First Medical Center, police said.

A MAN AND a woman reported that they were robbed at about 10:55 p.m. Sunday, July 17, in the 3600 block of North Christiana Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 25-year-old man and the 21-year-old woman reported that two men approached them and that one of the men displayed a handgun and took a backpack and a wallet containing $10 in cash and credit cards, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, in the 3300 block of North Keeler Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 35-year-old man reported that a man asked him if he had called the police on him and a second man struck him on the head with a gun and knocked him to the ground and the two punched and kicked him and took his cell phone and $400 in cash, according to police.

AN EMPLOYEE reported that the Subway restaurant, 4303 W. Irving Park Road, was robbed at about 1:20 a.m. Friday, July 15, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 54-year-old man reported that a man entered the business and displayed a handgun, followed by two other men who took $400 from the cash register, according to police.

A TEENAGER reported that his father’s car was stolen at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, in an alley in the 3100 block of West Wilson Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 17-year-old teen reported that as he was driving in the alley, a car driven by a woman blocked his path and a male passenger got out, pulled him out of the Honda Accord and drove away, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that he was robed at about 2 a.m. Friday, July 15, in the 3600 block of West Leland Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 18-year-old man reported that a man got out of a van the car, punched him in the face and knocked him to the ground and that a second man kicked him and took his cell phone, according to police. The man was treated at Swedish Covenant Hospital, police said.

A MAN REPORTED that a teenager fired an Uzi automatic weapon at his car at about 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, in the 2800 block of West Montrose Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 40-year-old man reported the teen walked into the street in front of his car and fired the automatic weapon at his car, with three bullets striking the passenger side of the car, according to police.

LINCOLNWOOD

A MAN WAS arrested after he allegedly shoplifted items from the Carson Pirie Scott store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., at about 5 p.m. Thursday, July 14, according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that he saw the man place two men’s shirts valued at $120 over his shoulder and leave the store without paying for the items, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Jerome T. Graham, age 30, of the 4200 block of Oakton Street, Skokie.
