Local Crime from 17th District 12-17-16





AN EMPLOYEE reported that First Merit Bank, 4012 N. Pulaski Road, was robbed at about 9:40 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 30-year-old woman reported that a man demanded cash and that when she told him that she only had $100 in the drawer he threatened to shoot her and she gave him $1,864, according to police.

THE OWNER of Bangkok Thai Cuisine restaurant, 6144 N. Lincoln Ave., reported that the business was robbed at gunpoint at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 65-year-old man reported that a man wearing a ski mask displayed a handgun, walked behind the counter and took $115 from the cash register, according to police.

AN EMPLOYEE reported that the 7-Eleven store, 5610 N. Kimball Ave., was robbed at gunpoint at about 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that a man wearing a ski mask displayed a handgun took $100 and three packs of cigarettes, according to police.

A WOMAN reported that she was robbed at about 8:35 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the 4500 block of North Richmond Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 50-year-old woman reported that three men approached her and one of them displayed a handgun and took her car keys but could not start the vehicle and that the other men took her wallet and her cell phone and fled on foot, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that he discovered pry marks on the door of his home in the 3400 block of North Kolmar Avenue at about 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.

A MAN REPORTED that he discovered damage to the door of his home in the 3300 block of North Kenneth Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the storm door and a glass kitchen door were broken, according to police. The damage was estimated at $1,500, police said.
