A MAN WAS FATALLY wounded at about 2:05 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, in the 4600 block of North Central Park Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
Following an investigation, officers discovered that a man was sitting in his vehicle when a man walked up to the passenger side and fired several shots and shot him multiple times in the right side of his body, according to police.
The man was transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:37 p.m., police said.
The deceased man was identified by police as Ian M. Ashford, age 22, of the 2300 block of North Bosworth Avenue.

TWO MEN reported that three men attacked them and robbed them at gunpoint at about 8:35 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, in the 4300 block of West Ainslie Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 37-year-old man and 28-year-old man reported that while they were walking three men approached them and demanded their possessions, and that one of the men hit the 37-year-old man on the left side of his head with a silver handgun before the men took their cell phones, wallets and $40 in cash, and then entered a dark-colored sports utility vehicle and drove away, according to police.

A MAN WAS arrested on felony drug and weapons charges at about 7:25 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at his residence in the 4100 block of West Melrose Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
Officers conducted a search warrant for a man who had an active warrant for reckless driving and knocked on his front door and stopped the man as he attempted to flee out of the rear of the building, according to police. The man was arrested after the officers discovered several plastic bags containing 830 grams of a substance suspected of being marijuana, three 9 mm handguns, two digital scales, 100 heat seal bags and one heat sealing machine inside his residence, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Nicholas Pippin, age 27, of the West Melrose Street address.

A TEENAGER reported that he was robbed at about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, in the 3800 block of North Kilbourn Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 15-year-old teenager reported that while he was walking four men approached him, and one of the men punched him in the head while the other men took $20 in cash, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that a man fired a gun at him at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, while he was driving in the 3200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 33-year-old man reported that two men driving in a black Lexus sports utility vehicle drove next to his vehicle and one of the men asked him about his gang affiliation, and that when he said he was "nothing," the men drove in front of his vehicle and the passenger reached out a window and fired two shots at him, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 4 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, in the 4600 block of North Monticello Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 44-year-old man reported that while he was walking to his vehicle three men drove next to him, exited their vehicle and approached him, and that one of the men pointed a hand gun at him while the other two men took $400 in cash from his pocket and pulled a gold chain with a gold ring valued at $2,400 from his neck before the men entered their vehicle and drove away, according to police.

A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed by two men with knives at about 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in the 3200 block of North Kimball Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 25-year-old man reported that while he was walking to the CTA Blue Line station on Kimball, two men approached him and that one of the men pointed a knife at him and demanded his belongings while another man stood next to him and pointed a knife at him, according to police. The man reported that he gave the men $800 in cash and his wallet before they fled, police said.
