Driver charged with driving under the influence
The driver of a Land Rover was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after the vehicle struck another car and crashed into a garage in the 4200 block of North Laramie Avenue at about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, according to 16th (Jefferson Park District police.
The Land Rover struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee and then spun and crashed backwards into the garage, according to police. After the impact, the Jeep struck a parked Hyundai Elantra, police said.
The suspect was identified by police as Zaher Bustami, age 43, of the 5600 block of West 87th Street, Oak Lawn.
