Fatal stabbing reported in Portage Park area

One man was fatally stabbed and another is in critical condition following an argument over a damaged vehicle at about 2 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, in the 5300 block of West Irving Park Road, according to Chicago police.

As many as a half-dozen people were stabbed, according to police. As patrons were exiting a bar, a minor traffic accident escalated into an argument, and the driver of a vehicle reportedly exited his car and started stabbing several people, police said.

No arrests have been reported, and a description of the assailant and his vehicle was not available.
