Gompers Park remained flooded Monday, Oct. 16

GOMPERS PARK, 4222 W. Foster Ave., remained flooded Monday, Oct. 16, after heavy rain on Saturday, Oct. 14, flooded streets and rivers in Chicago and the suburbs. The National Weather Service said that 4.39 inches of rain fell between Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14 and 15, at O’Hare International Airport. The weather service reported that Saturday was the wettest day since 2011, when 6.68 inches of rain fell on July 23.
