A MAN REPORTED that he was attacked at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the 4000 block of West Lawrence Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 60-year-old man reported that two men approached him and asked for money, and when he told them that he had none they struck him in the back and head with baseball bats before they fled, according to police. The man was treated at Swedish Covenant Hospital for blunt trauma injuries, police sad.
A WOMAN reported that her father was robbed and that her car was stolen at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, in the 5000 block of North Monticello Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 31-year-old woman reported that her 70-year-old father told her that he was about to drive her red 2014 Nissan Altima when four men armed with guns and knives approached him and one of them punched him in the face while the other men took from his pockets her car keys and his wallet containing $50 in cash, and that they drove away in her vehicle, according to police.
A MAN WAS arrested for allegedly attacking a woman at the Lincoln Antique Mall, 3115 W. Irving Park Road, at about 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 70-year-old owner reported that a man entered the store for the second time that day and when she asked him whether he was a customer he grabbed a hammer and she sprayed him with a chemical spray and that the man fled, according to police. Officers found the man based on a description and the man was arrested after he was identified, police said.
The suspect was identified as James Wilson, age 37, of the 9200 block of South Union Avenue.
MARTIN’S MINI MARKET, 3801 N. Cicero Ave., was burglarized at about 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
Officers responded to an alarm and discovered that the glass front door was shattered by a brick, according to police. An employee reported that she discovered that more than 2,000 scratch-off lottery tickets were missing and that a surveillance video showed men inside the business and a possible third driver, police said.
One male was described as age 15 to 20, 5-5 to 5-10, 120 to 180 pounds, and wearing a green facemask. The other male was described as age 15 to 21.
A WOMAN reported that an Uber driver took her belongings at about 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, in the 3900 block of West Belmont Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 35-year-old woman reported that she was in an Uber ride when the driver asked her to leave the vehicle for smoking a cigarette in the backseat, according to police. The woman reported that as she was exiting the car the man took her purse containing an iPhone 6 valued at about $400, a wallet valued at $100, keys, three credit cards, and $40 in cash before he sped away, according to police.
A TEENAGER reported that he was robbed at about 4:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, in the 3400 block of North Albany Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 14-year-old male reported that he was walking when a silver sport utility vehicle drove by him and a man in the front passenger seat rolled the window down, pointed a handgun at him and asked his gang affiliation, according to police. The teenager reported that he replied that he was "nothing," and the man demanded for his cell phone and took an iPhone 7 valued at about $800, according to police.
SHOTS were fired at about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, in an alley in the 3700 block of West Byron Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired and discovered six spent automatic .45 caliber shell casings in the alley, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the 4800 block of North Kimball Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 20-year-old man reported that he was sitting in the driver side of his friend’s car when a man and a woman opened the door and took his bag from between his legs containing credit cards and $600 in cash, according to police.

Two men are believed to be responsible for an attempted armed robbery and a carjacking in two separate incidents at about 1:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, according to Lincolnwood police.
In one incident, a man reported that he was in the 4500 block of Columbia Avenue when two men approached him and one of them pointed a handgun at him and demanded his car keys, according to police. The man reported that he was able to distract the mend and run away, police said.
Moments later, a woman reported that she was in her vehicle in the 6700 block of Leroy Avenue when two men approached and one of the pointed a handgun at her and demanded her vehicle, but she drove away, according to police.
The men were described as black, age 20s, with thin builds. Their vehicle was described as an older model white or silver minivan.hooded sweatshirts.
A MAN WAS charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following his arrest after a hit-and-run accident at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, in the 4100 block of Morse Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
Officers discovered a man in a Chrysler Pacifica sport utility vehicle that crashed into two parked vehicles, according to police. Officers smelled an odor of alcohol on his breath and the man was arrested after he failed sobriety tests, police said.
A 65-year-old man reported that the same vehicle struck the rear of his car near the intersection of Pratt and Lincoln Avenues minutes earlier, and that he observed the man turn onto Lincoln and drive in the wrong lane, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Davin Forest, age 28, of the 1400 block of Simpson Avenue, Evanston.
