A WOMAN reported that her boyfriend threatened her and stole her television set at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, in the 4100 block of West Cornelia Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 39-year-old woman reported that her 39-year-old boyfriend threatened her during a video discussion and said that he was going to burn her clothes, and that when she arrived at their apartment, she observed a pile of her clothing items had been burned in the backyard and discovered her 36-inch Samsung television set valued at $750 was missing, according to police.
A TEENAGER reported that her former boyfriend attacked her at about 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, at her home in the 4700 block of North Keystone Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 17-year-old teenager reported that her former 17-year-old boyfriend arrived at her residence, threatened her, told her to stay away from him and his girlfriend and choked her an pushed her against a wall, according to police.
A MAN AND a woman reported that a man attempted to rob them at about midnight Sunday, April 9, in the 6100 block of North Central Park Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 19-year-old man and the 22-year-old woman reported that three men in a gray 4-door Lexus with its rear bumper hanging by the ground sped their car toward them and stopped just in front of them, and that the driver exited the vehicle and told them several times to give him money or he would shoot them, according to police. The man and woman reported that they ran away from the man and that the man entered his vehicle and drove away, police said.
The man and woman reported that they didn’t see a gun in the man’s possession and that the passengers never exited the vehicle, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that a man robbed her at about 10 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in the 4100 block of West Irving Park Road, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 46-year-old woman reported that man pushed her to the ground and took three pieces of luggage valued at $600 from her and fled, according to police. The woman reported that the luggage contained clothing valued at $800, jewelry valued at $400, a wallet valued at $40 and health products valued at $30, police said.
A MAN REPORTED that two men robbed him at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 9, in the 3900 block of West Ainslie Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 57-year-old man reported that as he was walking home, two men approached him and asked him for a cigarette and that when he told them that he did not smoke, they struck him in the head and arms and took a leather bag containing his passport and $180 in cash, according to police.
The man was transported to Swedish Covenant and treated for an abrasion to his left arm and a laceration to his left temple, police said.
A WOMAN reported that two men broke into her home in the 5000 block of North Avers Avenue at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 73-year-old woman reported that a man knocked on the door and said that he needed to repair something in the back of her property, and that she exited the home and followed him outside to the rear, according to police. The woman reported that as she was walking back toward the front of her home, she saw a second man exit through the front door and both men ran away, police said.
The woman reported that she discovered that her purse containing $30 in cash was missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his apartment in the 4900 block of North Kedzie Avenue was burglarized between 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1, and 9:30 p.m. Monday, April 10, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the rear window on his enclosed porch had been damaged and four pairs of Nike Air Jordan gym shoes valued at $800 and a 13-inch flat screen television set valued at $150 were missing, according to police.
LINCOLNWOOD
A MAN WAS charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following his arrest at about 6:25 a.m. Saturday, April 8, in the 4000 block of West Touhy Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
Officers responded to a call of a vehicle collision with a light pole at the intersection of Touhy and Keystone avenues and saw a sport utility vehicle with front damage on the parkway and a light pole lying on the roadway, according to police. An officer reporter that the driver said that he had fallen asleep at the wheel and he was arrested after the officer smelled the odor of alcohol on his breath and he failed sobriety tests, police said.
The man was also issued citations for improper lane usage and causing damage to municipal property, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Jose S. Cruz, age 45, of the 3300 block of North Central Park Avenue.
A MAN WAS charged with possession of cannabis following his arrest at about 12:25 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, according to Lincolnwood police.
An officer stopped a vehicle that was speeding, and the driver was arrested after the officer smelled the strong odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle and discovered a glass smoking pipe, a scale and three plastic bags containing approximately 70 grams of a substance suspected of being marijuana, according to police. The man was also issued a citation for speeding at a rate of 57 mile per hour in a posted 35 mile per hour zone, police said
The suspect was identified by police as Christian D. Tabares, age 24, of the 5000 block of West Patterson Avenue.
A MAN REPORTED that his vehicle was broken into between 7 p.m. Monday, April 3, and Tuesday, April 4, in front of his home in the 6600 block of North Longmeadow Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that when he returned to his vehicle, he discovered the contents from the glove compartment and middle compartments were scattered on the front passenger seat and floor, according to police. The man reported that there were no signs of forced entry, that he is unsure if the vehicle was locked and that there were no items missing from the vehicle, police said.
