A WOMAN reported that her home in the 6900 block of North Dowagiac Avenue was burglarized between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 25, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the front door was open and that jewelry valued at $5,000 and a children’s savings bank containing $300 were missing, according to police. A neighbor reported that he saw a man walk up to the house and later leave carrying bags, police said.
A MAN WAS shot at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday, March 24, in the 4300 block of North Kedzie Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 42-year-old man reported that as he and a friend were getting into their car, a man point fired shots at them, according to police. The man was shot in the leg, and he was treated at Swedish Covenant Hospital, police said.
A MAN WAS shot at about 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, in the 3100 block of West Carmen Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 44-year-old man reported that as he was looking for a parking spot, he saw a van blocking the street in the 5800 block of North Albany Avenue, according to police. The man said that he became frightened and reversed his car, striking a fire hydrant, and drove to Carmen Avenue, police said.
The man reported that when saw a man get out of the van he fled from his vehicle and hid behind a tree and that the man shot him in the leg, according to police. The man was treated at Illinois Masonic Hospital, police said.
A WOMAN reported that she was robbed at about 4:45 a.m. Saturday, March 26, in the 4000 block of West Newport Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 40-year-old woman reported that a man displayed a handgun and took her cell phone and her wallet containing credit cards, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that she was robbed at about 10:50 a.m. Monday, March 28, in the 3900 block of West Ainslie Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 37-year-old woman reported that a man got out of a vehicle, displayed a handgun and took her cell phone and $300 from her, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 10:35 p.m. Monday, March 28, in the 3600 block of West Leland Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 33-year-old man reported that three men approached him and one of them displayed a handgun and took his backpack containing a cell phone and a laptop computer, according to police. The man said that one of the men struck him with a baseball bat in the head, police said. He was treated at Swedish Covenant Hospital, police said.
AN EMPLOYEE reported that the 7-Eleven store, 4346 N. Kimball Ave., was robbed at about 1:15 a.m. Thursday, March 24, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 59-year-old man reported that two men wearing ski masks entered the store and one of them displayed a handgun and the other struck him on the head, according to police. The man said that the men took six packs of cigarettes valued at $78, his cell phone valued at $550 and $400 in cash, police said.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 6100 block of North Monticello Avenue was burglarized between 8 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Friday, March 25, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the back door had been forced open and that $2,000 in cash was missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4100 block of North Harding Avenue was burglarized between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that a bedroom door was open and that $3,000 worth of jewelry was missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 5300 block of North Spaulding Avenue was burglarized between 8:30 a.m. and 9:35 p.m. Saturday, March 26, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the rear door had been forced open and that a television set, an Xbox video game console, two guitars and jewelry were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 3100 block of West Addison Street was burglarized between 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, and 3 p.m. the following day, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that a tablet valued at $140 and $183 in cash were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4200 block of West Grace Street was burglarized between 10 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturday, March 26, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that a window was open and that a video game console was missing, according to police.
LINCOLNWOOD
A COUPLE reported that their storage unit located at Public Storage, 6460 N. Lincoln Ave., was broken into between Nov. 26 and March 29, according to Lincolnwood police.
The couple reported that they discovered that a rear section of the ceiling had been damaged and forced open, and that several boxes had been opened and moved, according to police. They said that they were uncertain if any items were missing, police said.
A WOMAN was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following her arrest at about 2:35 a.m. Saturday, March 26, in the 4800 block of West Devon Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
An officer stopped a vehicle that changed lanes several times without using a signal, and the driver was arrested after she failed sobriety tests, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Chrissy L. Tarter-Terziev, age 32, of the 7700 block of West Dempster Street, Morton Grove.
A MAN WAS arrested after he allegedly shoplifted items from the Carson Pirie Scott store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., at about 4:15 p.m. Thursday, March 24, according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that he saw a man and a woman put items floor into a Kohl’s store shopping cart and enter an elevator with the cart, where he saw another man inside with a Carson’s shopping cart, according to police. The employee said that when the three exited the elevator they had exchanged shopping carts, that the man with the Kohl’s cart had clothing and housewares items valued at $499 at the bottom of his cart, and that he left the store without paying for the items, police said.
The suspect was identified by police as Angel A. Raguay, age 20, of the 12500 block of South Austin Avenue, Alsip.
A WOMAN was charged with possession of cannabis following her arrest at about 2:45 a.m. Friday, March 25, in the 4000 block of West Touhy Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
An officer stopped a vehicle driving with one working headlight, and the driver was arrested after the officer smelled the odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle and discovered a bag containing approximately 3.4 grams of marijuana, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Tiffany M. Wallenberg, age 19, of the 6700 block of Palma Lane, Morton Grove.
