A MAN WAS stabbed during a robbery attempt at about 1:10 p.m. Sunday, June 23, in an alley in the 3900 block of West Lawrence Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 23-year-old man reported that two men approached him in the alley and demand items and that he shoved and elbowed them both when one man stabbed him in the neck with a kitchen knife, and that he ran away to his girlfriend’s house nearby and later received treatment in stable condition at Swedish Covenant Hospital, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at knifepoint at about 9:40 p.m. Sunday, June 23, in the 3500 block of West Wilson Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 39-year-old man reported that two men approached him and one man displayed a knife and demanded his wallet, and took his wallet containing a bankcard and $150 in cash before the men fled east on Wilson, according to police.
The armed man was described as black, age 23 to 27, about 5-10, 230 pounds and heavyset, with a goatee, brown eyes, short black hair, and wearing a white striped shirt and blue jeans. The other man was described as black, about 5-5 and 160 pounds, with brown eyes, short black hair, and wearing a yellow shirt and black jeans.
A man reported THAT HE WAS ROBBED AT GUNPOINT AT ABOUT 2 P.M. TUESDAY, JUNE 18, in an alley in the 5600 block of North Bernard Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 20-year-old man reported that he was walking back from a store when two men approached him and one man served as a lookout while the other man pointed a black handgun to his back, threatened to kill him and took his brown wallet containing $74 in cash, according to police.
The armed man was described as white/Hispanic, about 6-1, with black Mohawk-style hair, and wearing a black bomber jacket. The other man was described as white/Hispanic, 5-8 to 5-10, and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15, in the 4400 block of North Kedzie Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 35-year-old man reported through a translator that he was walking to the rear of an apartment building when four men wearing black ski masks punched him, held him to the ground and took his wallet containing a Link card and $135 in cash from his wallet, and the man was transported to Swedish Covenant Hospital for treatment, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that a man attacked another man at about 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, in the 4800 block of North Avers Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
A 30-year-old woman reported that she saw a man jump out of a white sport utility vehicle, grab a log from the ground and strike an intoxicated 49-year-old man in the head and the hand, and the man was transported to Swedish Covenant Hospital for treatment, according to police.
The assailant was described as white and 5-8 to 5-10.
A MAN REPORTED that his apartment in the 4900 block of North Kimball Avenue was burglarized between 12:45 p.m. and 1:05 p.m. Saturday, June 22, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The building manager reported that he discovered a door’s glass window was broken and called police and the resident, and when the resident returned home he reported that a home surveillance camera showed an unknown man entered the apartment and emptied a small safe containing numerous pieces of jewelry and $14,134 in cash into a white shopping bag, according to police.
The man was described as white/Hispanic with a light skin complexion, age 50 to 60, about 185 pounds, with long black hair, and wearing a red, white and blue long-sleeved T-shirt, light blue jeans and gloves.
A WOMAN reported that her apartment in the 3300 block of North Ridgeway Avenue was burglarized between 9:15 p.m. Sunday, June 23, and 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the rear door has been opened, and that a green loveseat couch, three flat screen televisions, Xbox 360 and Xbox One videogame consoles, two laptop computers, a portable speaker system, a Sony Blu-ray player, assorted necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings and $2,100 in cash were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4700 block of North Harding Avenue was burglarized sometime before 11 p.m. Friday, June 21, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the side alley window was opened and that a jar containing about $100 worth of coins was missing, according to police.
LINCOLNWOOD
A MAN REPORTED that his car was burglarized between 5:40 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. Monday, June 24, in the parking lot of the Red Lobster restaurant, 3301 W. Touhy Ave., according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that when he returned to his 2016 Honda Accord he discovered that the driver’s side door lock was broken, and that about $4,600 worth of items including a laptop computer, an iPad tablet device, a wireless speaker system, headphones, a golf rangefinder, a pair of shoes, miscellaneous cables, a passport and $50 in cash were missing from the vehicle, according to police.
