Police investigating death of reported homeless man in Jefferson Park

Police are investigating the death of an apparent homeless man who reportedly died of a possible drug overdose during an incident Tuesday morning, Aug. 14, near a railroad embankment at the Kennedy Expressway and Central Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.

The man, who was described by police as in his 40s, appeared to have been living in the area where his body was found, according to police. Officers were alerted to the area from a 911 caller, police said.
