Police investigating man’s death near Ainslie-Lipps in Jeff Pk

Police are investigating the death of a man who died last night in an area where homeless individuals often hang out along a railroad embankment near Lipps Avenue and Ainslie Street in Jefferson Park, according to police.

An individual reportedly flagged down a police car and told officers that the man needed medical attention. The Chicago Fire Department arrived, but the man reportedly was not responsive and was taken to a hospital, police said.

Ainslie between the Kennedy Expressway and Lipps was closed to traffic this morning.
