Sewer work set to begin on Montrose

Traffic on westbound Montrose Avenue will be prohibited between Cicero Avenue and Milwaukee Avenue from May 4 through early September to allow crews to connect local sewers with the Deep Tunnel flood prevention system.

The eastbound traffic lane will remain open during the project, according to Alderman John Arena (45th).

Automobile traffic will be detoured south on Cicero and north on Milwaukee Avenue to Montrose, and CTA buses will be detoured south on Cicero, west on Irving Park Road and north on Laramie Avenue to Montrose.
