Workers put finishes touches on Belmont CTA station
WORKERS put finishing touches on improvements to the Belmont CTA Blue Line station, 3355 W. Belmont.
The $17 million project features a new architectural steel canopy for the terminal designed by the Chicago architecture firm Carol Ross Barney, new lighting and heating, a new PA system, a permanent prepaid boarding area and a new concrete platform and other improvements.
The Belmont rail and bus station serves nearly 1.8 million entries to the Blue Line and provides connections to the heavily traveled #77 Belmont and #82 Kimball/Homan bus routes, the city said.
