A TEENAGER reported that a man attempted to lure her into his car at about 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, in the 5800 block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 16-year-old teen reported that a man followed her from school to Milwaukee and Bryn Mawr avenues and opened his passenger door to his red Jeep, according to police.
The man was described as black, age 25 to 30, 5-9 to 5-11 and 140 to 150 pounds, and wearing a polka dot shirt.
A MAN REPORTED that a man threatened him with a gun at about 2:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, in the 5400 block of North Elston Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 47-year-old man reported that a man pointed a gun at him in a road rage incident, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that two men broke into his home in the 5400 block of West School Street at about 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 45-year-old man reported that when he returned home he discovered that two men were in his apartment and that after they fled he discovered that two rings valued at $4,200, a television set and jewelry were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that a man attempted to break into her home in the 4800 block of North Central Avenue at about 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 26-year-old woman reported that as she was in her kitchen she heard a noise and saw a man climbing through a rear window while a second man was waiting in the alley, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 4500 block of North Mulligan Avenue was burglarized between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the rear window had been forced open and that an iPod, two television sets, jewelry and $5,000 in cash were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5800 block of West Addison Street was burglarized between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the front door had been forced open and that five watches, two cell phones and one ring were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 6200 block of West Henderson Street was burglarized between 3:45 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that that the rear door was open and that two watches valued at $600, jewelry and two cameras valued at $400 were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 3700 block of North Sayre Avenue was burglarized at about 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the rear door had been forced open and that two iPads, a Nintendo Wii video game console, an Xbox video game console, two watches, three necklaces, three rings, a Play Station video game console, a nail gun and a laptop computer were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 3200 block of North Nottingham Avenue was burglarized at about 8:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that a rear window was open and that two pairs of earrings, 21 necklaces and 30 rings were missing, according to police.
THE OWNER of the A and G Fresh Market, 5630 W. Belmont Ave., reported that the business was burglarized between 10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, and 4:30 a.m. the following day, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The man reported that he discovered that the overhead rear door had been forced open, that two cash drawers were in the parking lot and that a forklift was missing, according to police.
