Motorcyclist dies after crashing into a minivan near Six Corners

A motorcyclist was fatally injured after striking a minivan at about 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, in the 3800 block of North Cicero Avenue, according to the Chicago Police Department Office of News Affairs.
Witnesses reported that a minivan containing a woman and a child was driving west on West Berenice Avenue and attempted to cross over Cicero in traffic into the southbound lane when it was T-boned by a motorcyclist that was traveling south on Cicero, according to police. No injuries were reported to the passengers of the minivan but the motorcyclist was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and pronounced deceased at 11:30 a.m., police said. The man was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to police.
The man was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as Felix Ocasio, age 47, of the 4200 block of West Leland Avenue.
