The idea behind the 24Swing indoor golf club at 4740 W. Peterson Ave. in Sauganash started out in the garage of the Cahill home.

A golf simulator was set up during the pandemic in the garage, and eventually it became a gathering place for friends and neighbors, and the concept for creating a club in the community was born, according to Liza Cahill.

The members-only club offers activities for adults and children — including competitions such as closest to the pin contests and tournaments with real-time scoring.

“There’s a lot of fun (options) here, and we want to help build community through our facility,” Brian Cahill said at a Sept. 4 ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Edgebrook-Sauganash Chamber of Commerce members, Alderman Samantha Nugent (39th) and state Representative Mike Kelly’s chief of staff Katie El-Ali.

Memberships start as low as $10, and participants can pay for their simulator usage by the hour, Brian Cahill said. Other memberships included simulator time.

There are two simulator rooms, and members can book their time and enter the facility via an access code.

The Trackman simulators collect data on swings, including the trajectory and club speed, and the information is stored for members.
