Local Crime from 17th District
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 4:30 a.m. Friday, June 3, in the 4300 block of North Kimball Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 26-year-old man reported at Northwestern Memorial Hospital that as he was standing at a bus stop, two men got out of a car and took $300 from him, according to police. The man said that one of the men struck him on the head with a baseball bat and the other man fired a gun at him but missed, police said.
A MAN WAS shot at about 6:05 a.m. Sunday, June 5, at the BP gas station, 3968 W. Belmont Ave., according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
Witnesses reported that the 27-year-old man argued with a man at the station and that the man made a phone call and another man arrived, shouted gang slogans and fired a gun, striking the man in the head, according to police. The shooting victim was admitted to Illinois Masonic Hospital in serious condition, police said.
A MAN WAS shot with a BB gun at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, in the 5900 block of North Forest Glen Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 33-year-old man reported that as he was walking, a man in a car shot him with BBs in the back and the wrist, according to police.
LINCOLNWOOD
A MAN REPORTED that items were stolen from his car at about 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, while it was parked in the 6700 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that he discovered that a global positioning system device valued at $150, two cell phone charger cables and coins were missing, according to police.
TWO MEN were arrested after they allegedly stole items from the Carson Pirie Scott store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., at about 3:05 p.m. Monday, June 7, according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that he saw the men place shirts, shorts and sunglasses valued at $323 in a backpack and leave the store without paying for the items, according to police. One of the suspects was apprehended in the 6800 block of North McCormick Boulevard, and the second man was apprehended in the 3300 block of West Columbia Avenue, police said.
The suspects were identified by police as Oussama Abou El Yakine, age 19, of the 8100 block of West O Connor Drive, River Grove, and Anass Lionboui, age 26, of the 4100 block of North Elston Avenue.
A MAN REPORTED that his car was burglarized between 10 p.m. Thursday, June 2, and 8 a.m. the following day while it was parked in the 6700 block of North Minnehaha Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that he discovered that the center caps valued at approximately $180 on his 2007 Cadillac Escalade were missing from both wheels on the driver’s side of the vehicle, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her car was burglarized between 8 p.m. Saturday, June 4, and 7 a.m. the following day while it was parked in the 6600 block of North Kilbourn Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
The woman reported that she discovered that an Apple laptop computer valued at $1,000, an iPod valued at $300 and a pair of prescription sunglasses valued at $400 were missing, according to police.
