Car stolen during armed robbery on Sunnyside in Jefferson park

A man reported that he was robbed and that his red Chevrolet Cruze was stolen at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, in the 5400 block of West Sunnyside Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.

The man reported that one of the assailants displayed a revolver and drove away with his vehicle, according to police. Some of the man’s belongings, which had been dropped to the ground, were also reported stolen, according to police.

Another assailant fled in a black sport utility vehicle, which has a cracked passenger side window, police said.
