Carjacking reported near Queen of All Saints School

A woman reported that she was carjacked at gunpoint at about 8:10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in the 6200 block of North Lemont Avenue near the Queen of All Saints School, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.

The 48-year-old woman reported that she was waiting in her grey 2017 Acura MDX sport utility vehicle to pick up her children from Boy Scouts when two men approached her driver’s side window and one man banged on the window with a handgun and demanded her out of the vehicle, and that she was allowed to retrieve her purse before the two men drove away south, according to police. The woman reported that a dark-colored sedan driven by a third man followed closely behind the Acura after it was stolen, police said.

The men who stole the vehicle were both described as white, age 18 to 25 and about 5-5 to 5-7.
