‘Chicago Fringe Fest’ set at Jefferson Park
The "Chicago Fringe Festival" will be held from Thursday, Aug. 28, through Sunday, Sept. 7, in Jefferson Park.
The festival will feature 48 musical groups from the Chicago area, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, New York, Washington and Canada. Performers will include Cosmic Jello, Dream Theater, Nicole Kearney, Rebecca Kling, Philip Low, the League of Miscreants and the Wishbone Theater Collective.
Musical performances will take place at five venues, including the "Stinking Onion Stage" and the "Deep Dish Stage" at the Congregational Church of Jefferson Park, 5320 W. Giddings St., the "Ketchup-less Stage" at the Gift Theater, 4802 N. Milwaukee Ave., the "Lake Effect Stage" at the Youth Company Chicago, 5340 W. Lawrence Ave., and the "Early and Often Stage" at Magnolia Banquet Hall, 4751 N. Milwaukee Ave.
A party tent will also available for after-parties, preview events, music and an opening reception at 6 p.m. Aug. 28. The opening reception will feature opening ceremonies, previews by participating artists and a dance party.
The entry fee is $5, and the cost of individual performances is $10. A five-show pass is available for $45, a 10-show pass costs $80, and an unlimited pass costs $175.
The festival box office and information center will be at Fischman’s Liquors, 4780 N. Milwaukee Ave. Each venue also will have a box office to purchase tickets.
