Chicago police report alleged prostitution at spa across from Merrimac Park

A woman was arrested at about 8:40 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, during an undercover sting at the 50-50 Spa, 6326 W. Irving Park Road, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
Officers received complaints about patrons allegedly drinking alcohol in and around the building and half-dressed women opening the doors for clients overnight, according to police.
An undercover officer scheduled an appointment, waited for an employee to unlock the doors and the employee took him to a room, police said.
The officer reported that the employee asked if the officer wanted a half hour or full hour massage and said a half hour massage cost $130, according to police.
The officer asked if the massage was full service and the employee allegedly said the price included a massage and a sexual act, police said. The officer signaled to enforcement officers that a sexual act had been offered for money and the employee was placed into custody, according to police.
A city inspector issued a cease and desist order for the establishment/business closure, and numerous citations also were issued, according to police.
