City orders closing of unlicensed massage parlor in Jefferson Park

by BRIAN NADIG
The city Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection has ordered the closing of an allegedly unlicensed spa at 4523 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Jefferson Park, while inspectors were unable to gain entry to a reported unlicensed spa at 6308 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Gladstone Park.
The spa at 4523 N. Milwaukee was cited for not having a massage establishment license and for not displaying a license, the department said. The investigation was in repose to a 311 complaint, according to the department.
An online ad described the establishment as the following:
“For gentlemen who are looking for a high-end sexy companion, look no further! This is what you crave. … Beautiful Asian hotties bring you the most satisfying VIP service, plump breasts with fair skin bring you a different feeling!”
Meanwhile, inspectors visited the spa at 6308 N. Milwaukee Ave. but were unable to gain access and no citations were issued. The department said that it has received two complaints about the establishment.
Residents have reported seeing men during late-night hours waiting to be buzzed into the spa, called both “Happy Rose” and “Rose” in online ads. One online ad said “100 percent young” workers and “B2B + BJ” are available.
It opened about five months ago. The storefront previously was home to a lice clinic.
Also in the area, an unlicensed spa at 5683 N. Milwaukee Ave. reportedly closed on its own, and the space is now for lease.
In April a man reported being robbed at gunpoint while at an allegedly unlicensed spa called “Rose Spa” at 4221 N. Elston Ave., according to Chicago police.
