SECOND ANNUAL TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL
“MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS” – A Children’s Pageant
The Celebration of Christmas will begin Saturday – Dec. 8 in the theater:
2:00pm – Polish Language Schools present Christmas shows “JASELKA”
4:00pm – a children’s Christmas play about the “Rebellious Angel “
5:00pm – LIGHTING CEREMONY giant 25 foot CHRISTMAS TREE
The ceremony will include a children’s choir singing traditional holiday carols.
After the ceremony, all are invited inside the Center for hot drinks, mulled wine and some tasty OLD WORLD DELIGHTS Visit to the new Annex to shop for traditional European Xmas gifts and handmade ornaments and stay to greet SANTA CLAUS who will be with us for both days.
6:00pm – The Blue Road Band will perform a free “Christmas Jazz” concert sponsored by
Gale Street Inn and the Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce.
The SUNDAY – Dec. 9 program in the theater:
3:00pm – The “MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS” theatrical presentation for kids
Old World Traditions (Wigilia), Nativity Scene (SZOPKA),”Gorale” Carolers singing tradition
Polish Xmas carols “KOLEDNICY” and special guest …….
World renowned Jazz artist MS. GRAZYNA AUGUSCIK. The program will include OLD WORLD & INTERNATIONAL Christmas Carols and the entire audience will be invited to sing along.
