Home invasion in Norwood Park stopped after children inside the house call police
A home invasion in Norwood Park was stopped at about 11 a.m. Thursday, June 15, when three girls inside the home in the 6800 block of West Hobart Avenue locked themselves in a bathroom and called 911, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The girls, reportedly around 11 years old, called police after hearing unusual noises in the rear of the house. Officers arrested two men shortly after they reportedly had fled the house, police said.
Entry was gained through a rear window, police said. A third man, who was not apprehended, may have been driving the two suspects, police said.
Charges were pending as of Thursday afternoon.
