House fire reported in Gladstone Park on Chicago’s NW Side
A reported electrical fire damaged a home at about 5:20 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, in the 5400 block of North Marmora Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
A large amount of smoke could be seen coming out of the house as firefighters were working to get the incident under control.
No injuries were reported, but residents were advised to not enter the house at this time due to structural concerns stemming from multiple holes in the roof, according to police.
The fire was described as accidental and may have been related to an extension cord issue, police said.
