Get ready to party hearty! It’ll be a rockin’ good time in the northwest side’s Jefferson Park neighborhood when Jeff Fest (Jefferson Park Arts & Music Festival) returns for its 18th fun-filled year on Friday-Sunday, August 3-5.
Held in Jefferson Memorial Park, 4822 N. Long Ave. (on Lawrence Ave, just west of Milwaukee Ave., and a block southwest of the Jefferson Park Blue Line stop), fest highlights include popular rock tribute bands, a ‘community’ entertainment stage showcasing local bands and performers, food, arts & craft vendors, and a popular kids’ activity area.
Among this year’s main music stage performers are Echoes of Pompeii (Pink Floyd tribute), Eliminator (ZZ Top tribute), The Classic Rock Experience, Kashmir (Le Zeppelin tribute) and Hi Infidelity (’80s rock).
Among the eclectic mix of performers on the community stage are the gritty pop stylings of Puritan Pine, singer/songwriter Andrew Robert Palmer, singer/guitarist Thomas Comerford, and the post-punk sounds of The Sentinels.
In addition, wine tastings will be held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 3:00-7:00 p.m. (With the purchase of a $20 daily wine tasting pass, ticket holders will be able to sample up to 15 varietals in a special area in the park.
