Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce holds memorial ceremony
The Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce held its annual memorial ceremony for the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks on Thursday, Sept. 11, at the war memorial at Milwaukee and Higgins avenues.
Our Lady of Victory School students led the "Pledge of Allegiance" and sang patriotic songs, and "Taps" was played at the ceremony, which was attended by residents and local officials. Veterans, police officers and firefighters were honored at the ceremony, which was followed by a luncheon at the Gale Street Inn.
