Liquor store meeting set
Alderman Anthony Napolitano (41st) will hold a community meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, to discuss a plan of operation for a proposed liquor store at 6054-56 N. Northwest Highway.
The plan for the store includes a closing time of no later than 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. on weekends. In addition, the owner would agree to a 10 p.m. closing time on weekends if Napolitano makes that request due to concerns that residents raise after the store’s opening.
The plan of operation would become a condition of the store’s liquor license.
The meeting will be held at the Norwood Park fieldhouse, 5801 N. Natoma Ave. Last month about 50 people attended a meeting on the proposed liquor store, which would be the first for Downtown Norwood Park.
