A CAB DRIVER reported that he was robbed at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, in the 5500 block of North Harlem Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 45-year-old man reported that a man got out of his cab, displayed a knife and refused to pay a $31 fare, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 2:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, in the 5100 block of West Strong Street, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 44-year-old man reported that after he got out of his car, a man struck him on the back of the head and his mouth and took his backpack containing work tools and his wallet containing $400 and debit cards, and his cell phone, according to police.
A TEENAGER reported that he was robbed at about 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, in the 4800 block of North Long Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 16-year-old teenager reported that a masked man told him to empty his pockets and took his cell phone and his laptop computer, according to police.
THREE men reported that they were robbed at about 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the 4300 block of North Long Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The men, age 18, 20 and 25, reported that two men approached them and displayed handguns and took a wallet and two cell phones, according to police.
A MAN AND a woman reported that they were robbed at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. in the 4300 block of North Central Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 19-year-old woman and the 23-year-old man reported that two men followed them into an alley and that one of the two took the man’s cell phone, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her car was burglarized at about 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, while it was parked n the 4800 block of West Belle Plaine Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that she discovered that the front passenger-side window had been broken and that a laptop computer, two cell phones and a briefcase were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that the garage of her home in the 5000 block of West Winona Street was burglarized between 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, and 7 a.m. the following day, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that she discovered that that a saw valued at $200, a drill valued at $75, a trimmer valued at $120, a leaf blower valued at $60 and light fixtures and insulation valued at $240 were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 6600 block of North Caldwell Avenue was burglarized as part of a scam at about 3:40 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 75-year-old man reported that a man approached him while he was doing yard work and asked to speak to his wife, according to police. The man reported that when he went into the home with the man and they awoke his wife, police said.
The resident reported that the man led him and his wife to the back yard to discuss purchasing the home next door and that he later saw two men leave his home and discovered that a necklace valued at $5,000 and $5,000 in cash were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 5800 block of North Indian Road was burglarized at about 1:25 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 22-year-old man reported that when he returned home he discovered that $3,000 in cash was missing, according to police.
A COUPLE reported that a man broke into their home in the 5000 block of North McVicker Avenue at about 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 68-year-old woman reported that she saw a man leaving her home and that she discovered that jewelry was missing, according to police.
