Local Crime from 16th District 3-25-15
A MAN REPORTED that he was attacked at about 5:15 a.m. Monday, March 23, in the 3900 block of North Oak Park Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 19-year-old man reported that two men followed him and that one of them pushed him to the ground and both punched him, and that they took his wallet containing $20 and his cell phone, according to police.
EMPLOYEES reported that a wallet was stolen from the Portage Park Animal Hospital, 5419 W. Irving Park Road, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
A man reported that two men entered the hospital and one of them asked questions at the counter while the other went into an office and took a wallet containing $2,000 in cash, according to police.
A TEENAGER reported that her wallet was stolen at about 3:45 p.m. Monday, March 23, while on she was riding a bus in the 6500 block of North Bryn Mawr Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 15-year-old girl reported that after she got off the bus she discovered that her backpack was open and that her wallet containing credit cards and gift cards was missing, according to police.
A COUPLE reported that their home in the 5700 block of West Sunnyside Avenue was burglarized between 6 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Saturday, March 21, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The couple reported that when they returned home they discovered that the rear door was open and that rings and necklaces valued at $1,000 and $550 in cash were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4200 block of North Laramie Avenue was burglarized at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the rear door was open and that six pairs of Air Jordan shoes valued at $1,500 and an Xbox video game console valued at $560 were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 3900 block of North Lamon Avenue was burglarized between 10 a.m. Thursday, March 19, and 10 a.m. the following day, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that a laptop computer, a camera, three camera lenses, three lights, a digital videodisc player and a Roku box were missing, according to police.

The woman reported that when she retuned home she discovered that the rear door had been forced open and that seven paintings, a tapestry, glass bowls and plates, vases and two reindeer figurines were missing, according to police.
