A WOMAN reported that she was robbed at about 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the Gladstone Park Metra station, 5500 N. Austin Ave., according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 36-year-old woman reported that as she was walking down a ramp after getting off a train, a man grabbed her scarf, tightened it around her neck, took her cell phone valued at $600 and her purse valued at $400 and containing credit cards, a driver’s license and passport, according to police.
A 14-YEAR-OLD teenager reported that he was robbed at about 8:05 p.m. Sunday, June 5, in an alley in the 3300 block of North Nottingham Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The teen reported that a man in a car told him to come near and grabbed his arm in which he held $200 in cash, according to police. The teen said that when he pulled his hand away, the man threw a rock that hit him in the chest and a teenager got out of the car, punched him in the jaw and took his money, police said.
AN EMPLOYEE reported that the 7-Eleven store, 6200 N. Sayre Ave., was robbed at knifepoint at about 8:45 p.m. Friday, June 3, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The employee reported that a man displayed a knife and demanded that he open the cash register, and that when he refused, the man took three packs of cigarettes as several customers ran outside, according to police. A 16-year-old teenager reported that outside of the store the man took $20 from him, police said.
A MAN WAS arrested after he allegedly tried to steal a car at about 10 p.m. Thursday, June 2, in the 8100 block of West Roscoe Street, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
A 52-year-old man reported that as he was driving he saw a man sitting on a curb bleeding, and that he stopped his car, assisted the man and placed the man’s bicycle in the back seat of his car, according to police. The man said that as they were standing in back of his car, the other man became agitated, threatened to shoot him and entered the driver’s side of his car in an attempt to drive away, police said according to police. The man was arrested when he was not able to drive a stick shift vehicle and the car would not move, police said.
The suspect was identified by police as Roberto Perez Jr., age 18, of the 3400 block of North Panama Avenue.
A WOMAN reported that she was robbed at about 1:30 a.m. Friday, June 3, in the 6300 block of West Irving Park Road, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 18-year-old woman reported that a man took her cell phone, keys and headphones, then pushed her to the ground and dropped the phone as he was fleeing, according to police.
