Local Crime from 16th District 8-17-2016
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at the Star Laundry and Cleaners, 5920 W. Irving Park Road, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 60-year-old man reported that a man pushed him to the floor and took his wallet containing identification and a debit card, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was attacked and robbed at about 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, in the 6600 block of North Northwest Highway, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 19-year-old man reported that a group of four to five men approached him and one of them demanded money, punched him in the face and knocked him to the ground and the men kicked him and one of them took his wallet, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her wallet was stolen at about 11:25 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, in the 4900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 33-year-old woman reported that a man took grabbed wallet containing identification, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, at the CTA Jefferson Park Blue Line terminal, 4917 N. Milwaukee Ave., according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 20-year-old man reported that after he got off a train a man displayed a gun in his waistband and a second man pointed a gun at him and took his cell phone and his wallet, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 2:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, in the 4400 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 31-year-old man reported that two men approached him and that one of them pushed him to the ground and they both kicked him and one of them took his backpack, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 2:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at the CTA Jefferson Park Blue Line station, 4917 N. Milwaukee Ave., according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 61-year-old man reported that as he sat on a bench, a woman demanded his money, and that when he did not react because he is blind the woman struck his head with an unknown object and took $375 from him, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that she was sexually assaulted between 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, and 8:30 a.m. the following day, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The 29-year-old woman reported that she visited a friend and was offered an alcoholic drink and she became tired, and that her boyfriend said that friends were waiting for them and she went to the man’s apartment in the 8500 block of West Catherine Avenue, where she was forced to smoke crack cocaine and then rode in a black Mercedes and was raped by two men, according to police. The woman reported that she was pushed out of the car at Belmont and Octavia avenues, police said.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 4700 block of North Laramie Avenue was burglarized between 4:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the back door was open and that a shotgun and a safe containing $1,200 in cash, a chain and documentation were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 7500 block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue was burglarized between 3:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that a bracelet and two rings were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 6200 block of West Berenice Avenue was burglarized between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the front door was open and that jewelry and $500 in cash were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5000 block of North Melvina Avenue was burglarized between 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, and 4 a.m. the following day, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the rear door was open and that her wallet containing credit cards was missing and that her 2013 Honda CRV was missing from the garage, according to police.
AN EMPLOYEE reported that the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, 3536 N. Cicero Ave., was burglarized between midnight and 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The man reported that he discovered that the drive-through window had been broken and that a safe was missing, according to police.
WHEELS were reported stolen from vehicles between Aug. 11 and Aug. 12, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
Wheels were stolen from cars that were parked in the 5200 block of North Meade Avenue, the 4000 block of North Leamington Avenue and the 6000 block of West Dakin Street, according to police.
