A MAN WAS fatally shot at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, in the 3200 block of West Irving Park Road, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
Responding officers found a man with gunshot wounds to the head and back lying in the street near the Golden Nugget restaurant, 3234 W. Irving Park Road, according to police.
The man was identified by police as Henry Cruz, age 29, of the 800 block of North Hamlin Avenue.
THE TCF Bank in the Jewel-Osco store, 3570 N. Elston Ave., was robbed at about 4:40 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
An employee reported that a man demanded $500 and she gave him the money in $20 denominations and fled in a white Honda Hybrid, according to police.
TWO PEOPLE reported that a man fired shots at their car at about 11:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, in the 4500 block of North Christiana Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
A 30-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman reported that fired shots at their 1998 Toyota Camry, shattering the rear window and the driver’s-side window, according to police.
TWO PEOPLE reported that a man threatened them with a gun at about 6:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, as they were driving in the 3000 block of West Argyle Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 30-year-old man and the 22-year-old woman reported that a man ran out of an alley, stood in front of their vehicle, made gang gestures and pointed a gun at them, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was attacked at about 6:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, in the 4400 block of North Pulaski Road, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 24-year-old man reported that as he was waiting for a bus, three men got out of a sport utility vehicle and one of them displayed a knife and the other two men punched him, according to police. The man said that he fought back and that he was cut on the upper left arm, police said. The man was treated at Norwegian American Hospital, police said.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 3:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, in the 3400 block of West Berteau Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 19-year-old man reported that three men approached him and that one of them displayed a handgun and took his wallet, according to police.
EMPLOYEES reported that the Blanz Pantry, 4632 N. Kedzie Ave., was robbed at about 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The employees reported that two men wearing ski masks entered the store and that one of them displayed a handgun and the other took $1,400, 17 bottles of alcohol valued at $269, five packs of cigarettes valued at $60 and 135 cigars valued at $270, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that she was robbed about 2:05 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, in the 4300 block of North Central Park Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 28-year-old woman reported that after she got off a bus a man tapped her on the shoulder and took her cell phone valued at $600, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, in the 3500 block of West Hollywood Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 76-year-old man reported that as he was taking out the garbage, two men approached him and took $30 from him, according to police.
LINCOLNWOOD
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 4500 block of West Arthur Avenue was burglarized between 6:20 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that when he returned home he found mud tracked through the residence and that the kitchen door window had been broken that an unknown amount of jewelry and cash were missing, according to police.
A COUPLE reported that their home in the 7100 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue was burglarized between 5:20 p.m. and 10:40 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, according to Lincolnwood police.
The couple reported that when they returned home they discovered that their silver BMW 3251 valued at $10,000 was missing from the driveway and that a window on the side door had been broken and a laptop computer valued at $2,500, two iPads and $20 in cash were missing, according to police.
TWO WOMEN were arrested after they allegedly shoplifted items from the Kohl’s store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., at about 8:40 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that he saw one woman place cosmetic items valued at $191 in her purse and another woman place cosmetic and clothing items valued at $173 in her purse and that the two left the store without paying for the items, according to police.
The suspects were identified by police as Wenday Del-Carmen, age 35, and Fanny Rossi Cordero, age 46, of the 3000 block of West Wilson Avenue.
