Local Crime from 17th District 1-25-14
A PIZZA DELIVERY driver reported that he was robbed at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in the 5400 block of North Sawyer Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 51-year-old man reported that aw he was returning to his car after delivering a pizza, two men accosted him and that one of the men hit him on the head with a handgun and the other took $120 from his pockets, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4800 block of North Saint Louis Avenue was burglarized between 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, and 1 a.m. the following day, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that a computer, two cell phones, a leather jacket, miscellaneous jewelry and $250 in cash were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4900 block of North Drake Avenue was burglarized between 6:50 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the back door had been pried open and that an iPad, two cameras, 14 camera lenses, a pair of headphones and a tripod were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 4000 block of West Argyle Street was burglarized between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that two cell phones, a laptop computer, a tablet, a necklace and three rings were missing, according to police.
Lincolnwood
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 6400 block of Ridgeway Avenue was burglarized between 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered his light was turned on and two laptop computers were missing, according to police.
A MAN WAS charged with possession of a controlled substance following his arrest at about 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, in the 3500 block of West Touhy Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
After an officer stopped a car that failed to signal when changing lanes, the driver was arrested after the officer saw an alcoholic beverage in the cup holder and found a substance suspected of being marijuana and Xanax pills in the vehicle, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as John A. Vivacqua, age 19, of the 1100 block of Knight Road, Port Barrington.
