A MAN WAS shot at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, in the 3900 block of West Montrose Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 20-year-old man reported that he was riding his bicycle east on Montrose when he saw two people on the sidewalk and crashed his bike because he felt a sharp pain in his right leg, according to police. The man was able to ride his bike come and his father drove him to Swedish Covenant Hospital, police said.
A WITNESS reported that a man and a woman were attacked with a knife at the Cigar Cave, 4359 N. Elston Ave., at about 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 42-year-old man reported that a 25-year-old woman and another woman were arguing inside the store when one woman made a phone call and returned several minutes later with three to four other people, one of whom used a knife to slash the legs of the 25-year-old woman and her friend, a 31-year-old man, according to police. The man and the woman were each treated at Illinois Masonic Hospital, police said.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 10:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, in the 4600 block of West Leland Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 21-year-old man reported that two men approached and one displayed a silver colored handgun, demanded money, and took his iPhone 6 and a wallet containing state and student ID cards, debit cards and $10 in cash and a Fitbit watch from his wrist, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that a man attempted to rob her at gunpoint at about 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, in the 4500 block of North Troy Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 35-year-old woman reported that she was walking from her vehicle and talking on her phone when a man approached her from behind, displayed a silver semiautomatic handgun, and demanded her car keys, according to police. The woman reported that she stated she had no keys, that the man then responded "you’re lucky I like you," and that he then fled on foot, according to police.
A RIDESHARE driver reported that he was robbed at about 2:05 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, inside his car in the 3600 block of West Montrose Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 55-year-old man reported that he was waiting for his next passengers when three men and three women attempted to enter his vehicle, and that upon telling them there were too many passengers they became angry and punched him in the face before taking his Motorola cell phone and fleeing, according to police.
A MAN AND a woman reported they were robbed at about 9:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, in the 4400 block of West Lawrence Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 43-year-old man and 28-year-old woman reported that a man entered into their vehicle, punched the 43-year-old in the face, took from his wallet a driver’s license and about 15 credit cards, and threw the wallet back into the vehicle without taking the cash before fleeing on foot, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed and that his vehicle was stolen at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, in the 4700 block of North Kildare Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 25-year-old man reported that he was walking when two men wearing black hooded sweatshirts jumped him from behind, took his car keys, and fled in his white 2010 Kia Optima, according to police.
A WITNESS reported that an apartment in the 4000 block of North Sawyer Avenue was burglarized at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 28-year-old man reported that he heard loud noises upstairs in his building, went upstairs to investigate and confronted two men who fled, and followed them as they ran south on Sawyer and east on Irving Park Road, according to police.
The tenants of the upstairs apartment reported that they discovered that a Macbook Pro laptop computer valued at $1500, a computer monitor valued at $100, two sets of speakers valued at $400, a keyboard and mouse set valued at $50, two pairs of Timberland boots valued at $340, a black suitcase valued at $150, a backpack valued at $95, a Canon film camera valued at $20, and $800 in cash were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that a man broke into her home in the 4100 block of West Roscoe Street at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 40-year-old woman reported that she was upstairs with her child when she discovered a flashlight and footsteps emerging from her stairwell, and when she yelled a man fled and she discovered that $10 in cash was missing from her wallet in the apartment, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 3400 block of West Waveland Avenue was burglarized between 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, and 3:35 p.m. the following day, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 31-year-old man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the front door had been unlocked and the side window opened and that a Mac Pro computer was missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4700 block of North Lawndale Avenue was burglarized between 11:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 42-year-old woman reported that she returned home she discovered that two laptop computers valued at $700, two tablet devices valued at $400, a Play Station 4 video game gaming console controller valued at $50 and a backpack valued at $40 were missing, according to police.

A MAN WAS CHARGED with driving under the influence of alcohol following his arrest at about 2:50 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, in the 4000 block of West Devon Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
Officers saw that a grey Nissan Altima was weaving in the lanes and nearly struck the median and stopped the car, according to police. The man was arrested after it was discovered that he had no driver’s license or proof of insurance and he failed sobriety tests, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Jose Hernandez, age 27, from the 5200 block of North Nashville Avenue, Chicago.
