Local Crime from 17th District 12-10-16
A MAN REPORTED that a man threatened him with a knife at about 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in the 3700 block of North Springfield Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 69-year-old man reported that as he was raking leaves in his yard, a woman engaged him in conversation, according to police. The man said that he became suspicious and that when he saw a man enter his home he knocked the woman to the ground and when she started screaming the man exited his home and threatened him with a knife, police said.
TWO MEN reported that they were robbed in separate incidents on Sunday, Dec. 4, in the 3700 block of West Lawrence Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
A 31-year-old man reported that at about 12:30 a.m. a man got out of a car, displayed a handgun and took his cell phone and his wallet containing identification and $400, according to police.
A 38-year-old man reported that at about 1 a.m. a man got out of a car, displayed a handgun and took his wallet containing identification and $250, police said.
AN EMPLOYEE reported that the Food Stop, 3734 W. Lawrence Ave., was robbed at about 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 25-year-old woman reported that a man walked behind the counter, displayed a knife and took $300 from the cash register, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 6300 block of North Kildare Avenue was burglarized between 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the rear door was open and that a pair of earrings, three rings, a bracelet and $9,500 in cash were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 6100 block of North Karlov Avenue was burglarized at about 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the rear door had been forced open and that a watch, a ring and earrings were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4300 block of West Devon Avenue was burglarized between 4 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the side door had been forced open and that jewelry valued at $5,000, a fur jacket valued at $1,000 and a laptop computer valued at $3,000 were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the in the 4100 block of North Drake Avenue was burglarized between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the window air conditioning unit had been pushed in and that an iPad 2 tablet, a cell phone, a Kindle tablet and $50 in cash were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that the garage of his home in the 3400 block of North Kildare Avenue was burglarized between 9:30 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the side door of the garage had been forced open and that a snow blower valued at $400 was missing, according to police.
