Local Crime from 17th District 12-12-15
A MAN WAS shot at about 9:35 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, in the 4200 block of North Kimball Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 20-year-old man reported that he heard a gunshot and a bullet grazed his head, according to police. The man was treated at Illinois Masonic Hospital, police said.
TWO MEN reported that a man robbed them at about 3:05 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, in the 4800 block of North Christiana Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The men, age 19 and 20, reported that a man displayed a handgun and took a wallet containing a credit card, according to police.
EMPLOYEES reported that Pharmacy One Plus, 4743 N. Kedzie Ave., was robbed at gunpoint at about 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The employees reported that an employee of a cleaning crew went to the back door and that three men wearing ski masks forced their way into the store and that one of them displayed a handgun, according to police. An employee reported that the men forced him to open the safe and that they took $2,000 in cash, pharmaceuticals valued at $2,000 and a surveillance camera, police said.
AN EMPLOYEE reported that the River Park Motel and Suites, 6060 N. Lincoln Ave., was robbed at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 64-year-old man reported that a man entered the lobby and asked for toilet paper and that when he opened his door a second man entered and the two pushed him to the floor and took $600 in cash from a cabinet, his cell phone and his wallet containing credit and debit cards, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4800 block of North Monticello Avenue was burglarized between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the back door was unlocked and that a computer valued at $300, a cell phone valued at $500 and two speakers were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5200 block of North Bernard Street was burglarized between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that a back window was broken and that a diamond necklace valued at $5,000 and a tablet valued at $500 was missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4200 block of North Sacramento Avenue was burglarized between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that a backpack, a shoulder bag, two tablets, a checkbook, social security cards, citizenship papers, a diploma and a voter card were missing, according to police.
A COUPLE reported that their home in the 3800 block of North Keeler Avenue was burglarized at about noon Saturday, Dec. 5, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The couple reported that when they returned home they discovered that the rear door had been forced open and that a diamond ring was missing, according to police.
A MAN AND a woman reported that their home in the 5200 block of North Bernard Street was burglarized between 11:45 a.m. and 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man and the woman reported that when they returned home they discovered that the rear door was open and that a laptop computer valued at $500, a guitar valued at $500, a checkbook and $1,500 in cash were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 3600 block of West Grace Street was burglarized between 7:20 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the back door had been forced open and that a television set valued at $800, a Play Station 4 video game console valued at $433, a laptop computer valued at $600, 10 Christmas gifts valued at $500, cologne valued at $70 and headphones valued at $50 were missing, according to police.
LINCOLNWOOD
A MAN REPORTED that his car was damaged between 10:45 a.m. and 10:55 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, in the parking lot of U.S. Bank, 6677 N. Lincoln Ave., according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that he discovered that the front passenger-side window had been shattered and the passenger-side mirror was cracked, according to police. The man said that nothing appeared to be missing from inside, police said.
AN EMPLOYEE of the Lincolnwood Public Works Department reported that a plaque was stolen from Centennial Park, 6800 N. McCormick Blvd., between May 1 and Dec. 7, according to Lincolnwood police.
The employee reported that a bronze plaque valued at approximately $900 was missing, according to police.
A WOMAN was arrested after she allegedly shoplifted items from the Kohl’s store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., between 5 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that he saw the woman place a wallet valued at $22 inside her bag and leave the store without paying for the item, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Anajelly Duarte, age 19, of the 5100 block of North Ashland Avenue.
