Local Crime from 17th District 12-14-13
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 9:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 in the 4400 block of North Spaulding Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 45-year old man reported that two men approached him from behind, that one of them displayed a handgun and demanded money in Spanish, and that the two went through his pockets and while he was trying to fight them off, one of them struck him on the head with the gun, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, in the 3600 block of West Lawrence Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 26-year-old man reported that two women got out of a car and asked for a cigarette, and that when he said that he did not have any, one of the women displayed a knife and the other searched his pockets and took $160 from him, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, in the 3300 block of West Ainslie Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 46-year old man reported that two men approached him behind and that one of them placed a gun to his neck and took his wallet, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 12 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in the 4700 block of North Sacramento Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 39-year old man reported that two men got out of a car and that one of them displayed a handgun, took his wallet and hit him on the side of his head with the gun, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5600 block of North Kimball Avenue was burglarized between Nov. 27 and Dec. 9, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned from a vacation she discovered that items valued at a total of $4,300 were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 3600 block of North Keeler Avenue was burglarized between 1 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the front door had been pried open and that a platinum diamond ring valued at $4,000 and a camera valued at $250 were missing, according to police.
