TWO MEN were shot at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in an alley in the 3000 block of West Gunnison Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
Two men reported that they were drinking alcohol in the alley with two other men, age 26 and 35, when a grey Toyota Corolla drove past them and passenger shot the 26-year-old man in the upper left leg and the 35-year-old man in his back, according to police. The men were transported to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, with the 26-year-old in man good condition and the 35-year-old man in serious condition, police said.
A MAN WAS shot at about 9:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, in the 4800 block of North Kildare Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
A woman reported that she was exiting a car with a 50-year-old man when another man approached them from behind and pointed a handgun and said "don’t run," and the 50-year-old man ran away and was shot in the upper left thigh, according to police. The man was transported to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in stable condition, police said.
The shooter was described as white/Hispanic, age 25 to 35, 5-10 to 6-1 and 160 to 180 pounds, with fade-style black hair, and wearing a grey coat.
A MAN WAS shot at about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, in a parking lot in the 4700 block of North Kimball Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
A 25-year-old man reported that he was with an unknown man and a woman to purchase marijuana when he was shot in the left hand, right thigh and groin by a passenger of a black sedan in a nearby parking lot, according to police. The man reported that he ran away and that a man chased him for from the sedan, and that he was then transported to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in stable condition, according to police.
The man who chased the injured man was described as white or Hispanic, having a mustache and wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.
A MAN REPORTED that a man fired a gun at him at about 4 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, in the 5300 block of North Kedzie Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 31-year-old man reported that a man was arguing with him and hit him in the face with a handgun, and that as he ran into a nearby bar for safety the man fired about five gunshots at him and he was not hit, according to police. A male witness reported that he saw the fight between the two men, with one man firing several rounds into the air before fleeing in a white Mercedes, and officers recovered three spent bullet casings from the nearby sidewalk, police said.
The man was described as age 30 to 35, about 6-0 and 220 pounds, and wearing a grey shirt and a long grey jacket.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 2 a.m. Tuesday, Dec.11, in the 3300 block of West Berteau Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 60-year-old man reported that he was walking home from work when two men exited a dark-colored vehicle and that one man pointed a handgun at him and demanded money and struck him with the gun while the other man took $105 in cash and a debit card from his wallet before returning the wallet to the victim, and the men drove away in reverse going east on Berteau in the vehicle, according to police. The man was transported to Swedish Covenant Hospital, police said.
The armed man was described as black, age 19 to 20, 5-8 to 5-10 and 160 to 180 pounds, with short black hair, a dark skin complexion, and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. The other man was described as black, age 18 to 25, 5-4 to 5-6 and 150 to 160 pounds.
A TEENAGER reported that he was robbed at gunpoint at about 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, in an alley in the 4700 block of North Pulaski Road, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 16-year-old teen reported that he was going to purchase shoes in an alley and that he was approached by three males armed with handguns and that one male said "give me all your money, wallet, phone, shoes and jacket," and that he gave up his iPhone valued at $1,100, his Jordan-brand shoes and jacket valued at $450 total, and his wallet containing $1,200 in cash before the males ran away, according to police.
One male was described as black, age 17 to 18, about 5-10 and 190 pounds, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black ski mask. The two lookouts were both described as white/Hispanic males and age 17 to 18.
LINCOLNWOOD
A MAN REPORTED that his vehicle was vandalized between 1 and 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, while it was parked in the parking lot of the Lowe’s Home Improvement store, 3601 W. Touhy Ave., according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that when he returned to his 2018 Nissan Pathfinder he discovered that the vehicle was keyed across the front and rear passenger-side doors, according to police.
