A TEENAGER reported that he was threatened at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, in the 4100 block of West Irving Park Road, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 16-year-old teen reported that during an argument, a man threatened him with a box cutter, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was attacked in an apparent gang-related incident at about 1:05 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, in the 3300 block of West Foster Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 34-year-old man reported that two men approached him and asked his gang affiliation and that one of them struck him on the head with a baseball bat, according to police. The man was treated at Swedish Covenant Hospital, police said.
A COUPLE reported that they were robbed at about 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, in the 3400 block of North Springfield Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man and the woman, age 56 and 61, reported that two men approached them and that one of them displayed a handgun and took a wallet containing $800, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the 5500 block of North Sawyer Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 30-year-old man reported that two men approached him and that one of them grabbed him by the neck and the other displayed a handgun and took his wallet containing $180, according to police.
THE OWNER of LA Fashion Mart, 4040 W. Belmont Ave., reported that the business was robbed at about 2:25 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 60-year-old man reported that a man entered the store, displayed a handgun and took $500 from the cash register, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, in the 3500 block of North Lawndale Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 32-year-old man reported that two men asked his gang affiliation and that one of them took his cell phone and $80 in cash, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5900 block of North Saint Louis Avenue was burglarized between 11 a.m. and 7:40 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the rear door was open and that rings, necklaces and chains, a watch and $5,000 in cash were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5800 block of North Christiana Avenue was burglarized between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the front door had been forced open and that three bracelets valued at $1,000, a necklace valued at $1,500 and a camera valued at $400 were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 5400 block of North Sawyer Avenue was burglarized at about 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that a bracelet and earrings valued at $500 were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 3700 block of West Leland Avenue was burglarized between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the rear door had been forced open and that jewelry valued at $600 and $75 in cash were missing, according to police.
LINCOLNWOOD
A WOMAN was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following her arrest at about 8:10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, in the 5000 block of West Pratt Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
Officers responded to report that a car struck a tree at Pratt and Navajo avenues, and the driver was arrested after she failed sobriety tests, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Katherine A. Kotsovos, age 23, of the 4900 block of West Fairview Lane, Skokie.
A MAN WAS charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following his arrest at about 2 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at Centennial Park, 6801 N. McCormick Blvd., according to Lincolnwood police.
Officers saw a car with two men in it parked in the park after closing time, and the driver was arrested after the officers discovered open cans of alcoholic beverages in the vehicle and he failed sobriety tests, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Jose A. Garcia, age 29, of the 4700 block of North Bernard Street.
A MAN WAS arrested after he allegedly shoplifted items from the Carson Pirie Scott store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that he saw the man conceal a scarf valued at $55 and leave the store without paying for it, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Jaime R. Diaz, age 26, of the 4300 block of North Whipple Street.
