A MAN REPORTED that a man attempted to rob him at about 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in an alley in the 3500 block of West Montrose Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 27-year-old man reported that a man approached him, displayed a knife at him and demanded money, an that he hit the man and he fled, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5300 block of North Sawyer Avenue was burglarized between 9:30 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the back door was open and that a yellow metal band, a gold ring and a chain with a pendant were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5400 block of North Saint Louis Avenue was burglarized between 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, and 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she went to check on her deceased parents’ house she discovered the front door was open and that a 32-inch television set was missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 6200 block of North Karlov Avenue was burglarized between 5 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The officer reported that when he returned home he discovered that the side door was open and that a loaded handgun was missing, according to police.
A COUPLE reported that their home in the 6000 block of North Ionia Avenue was burglarized between 5:20 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The couple reported that when they returned home they discovered that the side door was broken and that a laptop computer valued at $2000, a watch and a Sony Play Station 3 game set were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4300 block of North Spaulding Avenue was robbed between 3:20 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that while she was in the bedroom with her two children, someone came in through the front door and took two pairs of gym shoes and $5,000 in cash, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 5200 block of North Bernard Street was burglarized between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home from work, he discovered the rear door glass panel was shattered and his laptop computer valued at $1,000 was missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 5600 block of North Kimball Avenue was burglarized between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that she was alerted by her daughter that the kitchen window was open and a laptop valued at $300 was missing, according to police. The woman said she was unable to find signs of a forced entry, police said.

The woman reported that when she returned home from work, she discovered the front door was open and a bracelet valued at $3,000 and a pair of earrings valued at $1,000 were missing.
LINCOLNWOOD
A MAN WAS charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following his arrest at about 2:50 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, in the 4600 block of West Touhy Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
After an officer stopped a car that was speeding and weaving, the driver was arrested after the officer saw two open bottles of beer in the backseat and the driver’s blood alcohol content registered at 0.110, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Oscar Orozco-Garcia, age 28, of the 400 block of Dodge Avenue, Evanston.
A MAN WAS charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following his arrest at about 3 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, in the 6700 block of North Crawford Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
After an officer stopped a car that was swerving, the driver was arrested after the officer noticed that the license was expired and the driver’s blood alcohol content registered at 0.193, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Ifeanyi Chu Kwu Odum, age 26, of the 700 block of East 87th Place.
A WOMAN WAS charged with retail theft following an incident at about 4:20 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, from the Kohl’s store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that she saw the woman remove several items of clothing valued at $895.70 off the sales floor, bring them into the fitting room, place them in a bag and exit the store without paying for the items.
The suspect was identified by police as Patricia Bravo-Morales, age 31, of the 1400 block of West Hollywood Avenue.
A MAN WAS charged with driving under the influence of drugs following his arrest at about 2:10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in the 7000 block of West Crawford Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
After an officer stopped a car that had a broke headlight, the driver was arrested after the officer discovered a half-smoked cigar that contained one gram of a substance suspected of being marijuana and a small digital scale, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Jossimar L. Suaztegui, age 25, of the 7700 block of North Keeler Avenue, Skokie.
A MAN WAS charged with driving under the influence of drugs following his arrest at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, in the 4400 block of West Devon Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
After an officer stopped a car that was weaving, the man was arrested after the officer discovered a clear plastic bag that was filled with .80 grams of a substance suspected of being marijuana, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Syed Y. Ali, age 26, of the 400 block of Good Avenue, Des Plaines.
TWO WOMEN were charged with retail theft following an incident at about 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, from the Kohl’s store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that she saw the two women select numerous items of women’s clothing and jewelry valued at $869.99, place them into a shopping cart and leave without paying for the items.
The suspects were identified by police Monika Singla, age 35, of the 5000 block of West Devon Avenue and Jyoti Sehgal, age 33, of Artesia, Calif.
A MAN WAS charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following his arrest at about 5:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the parking lot of Z Bakery, 3665 W. Lunt Ave., according to Lincolnwood police.
Investigating a suspicious car parked in the parking lot, officer arrested the driver after they discovered two empty cases of beer near the car, several open bottles and a case of beer in the car and the driver’s blood alcohol content registered at 0.161, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Eustolio Diaz-Procopio, age 34, of the 6400 block of West 26th Street, Berwyn.
