A MAN REPORTED that a man fired at gun at him at about 10:05 a.m. Saturday, March 5, in the 4000 block of North Pulaski Road, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 49-year-old man reported that as he was driving his car, a former co-worker approached and fired three shots at the car, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that shots were fired at her and her daughter at about 11:35 a.m. Saturday, March 5, in the 4900 block of North Drake Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 35-year-old woman reported that as she was walking with her 9-year-old daughter, when a mini-van drove up by and someone in the van fired three shots at them, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that a man attacked him at about 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at a home in the 4500 block of North Kenneth Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 26-year-old man reported that the man accused him of stealing his camera and punched him in the face with brass knuckles, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, in the 3700 block of West Montrose Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 19-year-old man reported that he met with an acquaintance from Facebook to purchase a pair of jeans and that during the transaction, two men approached and one of them displayed a knife and the other man took his cell phone valued at $400, his belt valued at $500, his jacket valued at $100 and $350 in cash, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that a man attempted to rob him at about 2:15 a.m. Monday, March 7, in the 3900 block of West Lawrence Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 30-year-old man reported that a man displayed a gun and demanded his belongings and that the man fled when he told him that he did not have any money, according to police.
AN EMPLOYEE reported that a man attempted to rob the Subway restaurant, 4303 W. Irving Park Road, at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 53-year-old man reported that a man displayed a handgun and demanded cash and that the man fled after he locked himself in the back room, according to police.
AN EMPLOYEE reported that the J&P Fine Foods store, 3501 W. Montrose Ave., was robbed at about 2:05 p.m. Thursday, March 3, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 44-year-old man reported that a man wearing a mask and gloves pointed displayed a handgun and took $750 from the cash register, according to police.
AN EMPLOYEE reported that the 7-Eleven store, 3401 W. Irving Park Road, was robbed at about 12:10 a.m. Thursday, March 3, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 23-year-old employee reported that three men armed with guns entered the store and one of them struck him on the head with a gun and kicked him when he fell to the floor and that the men took bottles of alcohol, lottery tickets, food items, $300 in cash and his wallet, according to police.
A DELIVERY driver reported that he was robbed at about 8:15 p.m. Monday, March 7, in the 4400 block of North Bernard Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 35-year-old man reported that two men told him to go to the back yard and that when he did, a man displayed a knife and demanded money and his belongings and that he threw the food order at them and fled, according to police. The driver reported the men chased him and that they stopped when he rang the doorbell on a home, police said.
A WOMAN reported that a man stole her purse at about 8:50 p.m. Monday, March 7, in the 4700 block of North Monticello Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 61-year-old woman reported that a man pushed her from behind and took her purse containing her cell phone, credit cards and $10, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, in the 3300 block of West Devon Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 45-year-old man reported that as he was waiting for a bus, a man got out of a pickup truck, struck him on the head with a baseball bat and took his cell phone, an identification card and $125, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that items were stolen from a vacant home in the 4300 block of North Tripp Avenue between Feb. 20 and March 9, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she checked on the home she discovered that a gas stove, a microwave oven, a dishwasher and a shower head were missing, according to police.
A TEENAGER reported that her home in the 4100 block of North Kostner Avenue was burglarized between 7:40 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 14-year-old girl reported that when she returned home she discovered that a sliding door was open and that items were missing, according to police. The owner of the home reported that two laptop computers valued at $2,000, a camera valued at $800, a cell phone valued at $500, an iPod valued at $600, a television set valued at $800, a tablet valued at $200 and a bracelet valued at $200 were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 4700 block of West Cornelia Avenue was burglarized between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when her son returned home he discovered that the front door was open and that $600 in cash and two gold rings were missing, according to police.
LINCOLNWOOD
A COUPLE reported that their storage unit in Public Storage, 6460 N. Lincoln Ave., was burglarized between June 26, 2015, and Sunday, Feb. 28, according to Lincolnwood police.
The couple reported that they discovered that several boxes had been opened and that a Sony 42-inch television valued at $1,000 was missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that someone attempted to break into his home in the 6600 block of North Drake Avenue between 3 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the front door had been damaged and that the rear screen door had been forced open, according to police.
TWO MEN were charged with possession of a controlled substance following their arrest at about 12:15 a.m. Sunday, March 6, in the 4500 block of West Touhy Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
An officer stopped a vehicle that was speeding, and the driver and passenger were arrested after the officer smelled the odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle and discovered marijuana ashes and an orange pill that tested positive for the presence of MDMA, or "ecstasy," according to police.
The suspects were identified by police as Ramone D. Patterson, age 28, of the 4600 block of North Malden Street, and Darnell D. Fort, age 28, of the 1100 block of South Central Park Avenue.
A MAN WAS charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia following his arrest at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, in the 7100 of North McCormick Boulevard, according to Lincolnwood police.
An officer stopped a vehicle that was speeding, and the driver was arrested after the officer smelled the odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle and discovered a metal grinder, a plastic bag containing approximately .5 gram of marijuana and a smoking pipe, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Vibol Tan, age 27, of the 2700 block of West Carmen Avenue.
A WOMAN reported that her vehicle was burglarized between 2:45 p.m. and 5:05 p.m. Monday, March 7, in the parking lot of the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., according to Lincolnwood police.
The woman reported that when she and her boyfriend returned to her vehicle they discovered that the driver’s-side door locking mechanism had been damaged and that items belonging to her boyfriend, including a shopping bag containing clothing items valued at $78, a leather jacket valued at $400 and an employee security badge valued at $50, and a Chicago police hat banner that belonged to her were missing, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that someone attempted to break into her car between 3:50 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 7, in the parking lot of the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., according to Lincolnwood police.
The woman reported that she discovered that a piece of metal had been lodged into the driver’s-side door keyhole and that the keyhole was damaged, according to police.
A MAN WAS arrested after he allegedly shoplifted items from the Carson Pirie Scott store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., at about 3:50 p.m. Monday, March 7, according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that he saw the man take several clothing items valued at $287 into a fitting room and leave the store without paying for the items, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Vincent Trieu, age 20, of the 6500 block of North Troy Avenue.
