A WAS SHOT at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, April 16, in the 4000 block of North Pulaski Road, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 23-year-old man reported that he was driving his vehicle with a 24-year-old man in the front passenger seat and they heard several gunshots and he felt pain around his left thigh and discovered that he had been shot, according to police.
Officers discovered that the man’s vehicle had five bullet holes along the driver’s side and the man was transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital and treated for a minor gunshot wound, police said.
A MAN REPORTED that a man shot at his car at about 9:15 p.m. Sunday, April 16, in the 4500 block of North Drake Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 19-year-old man reported that while he was driving his vehicle he saw a man walking on the east side of the street carrying a handgun who flashed gang signs at him, and fired a gun at his car that damaged his front passenger door, according to police.
A TAXICAB driver reported that he was robbed between 3 a.m. and 3:20 a.m. Friday, April 14, while he was driving in the 3500 block of West Melrose Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 41-year-old driver reported that he picked up a customer at the intersection of Division and Clark streets and the man put him in a headlock from the rear seat, pressed a metal object against his neck and said, "Give me your money or I’ll shoot you," and took his iPhone and $900 in cash and fled, according to police. The taxi driver reported that he didn’t see a firearm in the man’s possession, police said.
A MAN REPORTED that he was attacked at about 4:40 a.m. Saturday, April 15, in the 3600 block of West Ainslie Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 36-year-old man reported that he was driving with a 35-year-old female passenger and after he parked his vehicle two men approached him and told him to move his car, and when he told them that he lived there, one of the men punched him in the face and then broke a glass bottle over his head, according to police.
The man was transported to Swedish Covenant Hospital, police said.
A WOMAN reported that she was robbed at about 8:20 a.m. Sunday, April 16, in the 3300 block of West Ainslie Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 45-year-old woman reported that two men approached her and one of the men pointed a handgun at her chest, demanded her belongings and took a bag containing an iPhone, identification cards, credit cards and $75 in cash, according to police.
A WOMAN REPORTED that a man took her purse at about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, in the 4100 block of North Kimball Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 50-year-old woman reported that while she was waiting for a bus with a 41-year-old woman, a man approached her, pushed her and took her purse containing her wallet and umbrella and knocked her to the ground, according to police.

Devon
A woman was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following her arrest at about 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, in the 4500 block of West Devon Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
An officer stopped a vehicle that was speeding and the driver was arrested after she did not have a valid driver’s license and he smelled the odor of alcohol on her breath and she failed sobriety tests, according to police. The driver was also issued citations for speeding at a rate of 47 miles per hour in a posted 35 miles per hour zone, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured automobile, police said.
The suspect was identified by police as Maria I. Recio, age 45, of the 4000 block of 39th Avenue, Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Touhy
A man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following his arrest at about 2:50 a.m. Friday, April 14, in the 4300 block of West Touhy Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
An officer stopped a vehicle with that was speeding and changed lanes without signaling, and the driver was arrested after the officer smelled the odor of alcohol on his breath and he failed sobriety tests, according to police. The driver was also issued citations for speeding at a rate of 66 miles per hour in a posted 35 miles per hour zone, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured automobile, police said.
The suspect was identified by police as Jorge J. Ramirez-Calderon, age 26, of the 1800 block of North Green Lane, Palatine.
