A DRUG ENFORCEMENT Agency agent was attacked at about 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, in the 4500 block of North Harding Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 33-year-old agent reported that he was driving and conducting surveillance and that as he approached Sunnyside Avenue, a vehicle blocked his way, according to police. The agent said that he got out of his car, announced his office and told the driver to move, and that as he was walking back to his car, the man got out of his vehicle and struck him on the back of the head, knocking him to the ground, police said. The man said that he defended himself, got back into his car and drove away, police said.
A MAN WAS stabbed at about 5 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, in the 3200 block of West Lawrence Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 28-year-old man went to Illinois Masonic Hospital with a stab wound in the back but he was uncooperative, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that she was robbed at about 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, in the 3700 block of West Ainslie Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 34-year-old woman reported that a man wearing a mask pointed a gun to her head and that when she screamed, the man kicked her in the stomach, knocked her to the ground and took her backpack containing her wallet containing $250, a credit card and her driver’s license, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, in the 5700 block of North Karlov Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 37-year-old man reported that two men got out of a car and that one of them displayed a handgun and took his cell phone, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that he was robbed at about 10:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, in the 5700 block of North Kimball Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 48-year-old man reported that three men got out of a car and punched him and that one of them displayed a handgun and took his cell phone and his wallet containing $240, according to police.
A MAN AND a woman reported that they were robbed at about 11:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, in the 3400 block of West Carmen Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 28-year-old man and 33-year-old woman reported that three men got out of a car and that one of them punched him and another pulled her hair and displayed a handgun, and that the three took their cell phones, her purse, a wallet, a tablet and $1,020 in cash, according to police.
A MAN AND a woman reported that they were robbed at about 12:25 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, in the 4100 block of West Melrose Street, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.

A 30-year-old woman reported that as she was walking with a 32-year-old man, a man implied that he had a gun and demanded their backpacks, and that when her companion refused, the man struck him on the head with a garden tool and took the backpacks, according to police. The man was treated at Community First Medical Center, police said.
EMPLOYEES reported that a man robbed the TCF Bank in the Jewel-Osco store, 3570 N. Elston Ave., at gunpoint at about 12:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
An 23-year-old employee reported that a man handed her a note announcing a robbery and put a gallon of water and a bag that contained a handgun on the counter and that she gave him $1,300 in cash and the man fled, according to police.
AN EMPLOYEE of the 7-Eleven store, 4771 N. Elston Ave., reported that he was robbed at about 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 21-year-old man reported that as he was throwing out garbage, a man displayed a handgun and took his wallet containing a credit card and $70, according to police.
AN EMPLOYEE reported that the A to Z Things store, 4009 N. Kedzie Ave., was robbed at about 3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 26-year-old employee reported that a man walked behind the counter and a woman displayed a handgun and that the man took $800 from the cash register and $500 from his wallet and the woman tied him with tape, according to police. The employee said that he later discovered that the two also took two cell phones valued at $640 and 32 packs of cigarettes valued at $392, police said.
AN EMPLOYEE reported that the Subway restaurant, 3329 N. Milwaukee Ave., was robbed at gunpoint at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 36-year-old employee reported that a man climbed over the counter, displayed a handgun and told him to open the cash register, and that a second man took $400 from the register and his cell phone and $50 from him, according to police.
AN EMPLOYEE reported that the Metro PCS store, 4459 W. Lawrence Ave., was robbed at about 7:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The 20-year-old woman reported that a man grabbed her arm and shirt, forced her to sit in a chair, pointed displayed a handgun and took $710, according to police.
A WOMAN reported that her home in the 6200 block of North Cicero Avenue was burglarized between 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The woman reported that when she returned home she discovered that the rear door had been forced open and that jewelry valued at $2,000 were missing, according to police.
A MAN REPORTED that his home in the 4900 block of North Drake Avenue was burglarized between noon and 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The man reported that when he returned home he discovered that the key was broken inside the front door and the rear door was open and that $7,000 in cash and nine gold bars valued at $20,000 were missing, according to police.
LINCOLNWOOD
A MAN REPORTED that his unlocked car was burglarized between 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, and 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, while it was parked in the 6500 block of North Saint Louis Avenue, according to Lincolnwood police.
The man reported that he discovered that the contents of the glove compartment had been scattered and that a $5 bill was missing from the cup holder, according to police.
A WOMAN was arrested after she allegedly shoplifted items from the Carson Pirie Scott store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that he saw the woman place a hat valued at $40 in her purse and leave the store without paying for the item, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Shawn A. Garber, age 19, of the 5000 block of North Ashland Avenue.
A WOMAN was arrested after she allegedly shoplifted items from the Carson Pirie Scott store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., at about 1:35 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that he saw the woman take several jewelry items valued at $388 into the fitting room and leave the store without paying for the items, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Mariana Nicoleta Pop, age 44, of the 5300 block of North Kimball Avenue.
A WOMAN was arrested after she allegedly shoplifted items from the Kohl’s store in the Lincolnwood Town Center, 3333 W. Touhy Ave., at about 1:55 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, according to Lincolnwood police.
An employee reported that he saw the woman conceal clothing and cosmetics valued at $145 and leave the store without paying for the items, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as Tsering Wangmo, age 34, of the 7300 block of North Oakley Avenue.
